Geoscience Writing Services

Although I have plenty of experience writing documents for various domains, industries, and products, I would prefer to provide writing or editing services for the geoscience field as that’s one way for me to be in touch with my passion (which is anything geological!)

I can provide the following:

  1. Copy editing of manuscripts
  2. Technical writing – can write/edit the following:
  •  User manuals and online help for software (such as Seismic or GIS-related or well management). Users can use these, follow instructions and learn the software.
  • Hardware manuals which provide descriptions of various equipment and service parts lists
  • Product comparisons
  • Well log reports
  • Training manuals and course curriculum
  • Operating procedures
  • Safety instructions including disaster management procedures
  • Reports

I can also undertake:

  1. Scientific Reference Style checking and indexing
  2. Style editing
  3. Formatting
  4. Geological book reviews
  5. Thesis evaluation

I use the following software to author/edit:

  • Adobe FrameMaker
    Microsoft Word
  • Madcap Flare
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Adobe RoboHelp

I can provide the following output:

  • Adobe Acrobat Professional (PDF) including accessible PDFs
  • Microsoft Word
  • Web help
  • Mobile help that can be accessed from smartphones and tablets
